Philosophy

The mandate of the school is to provide a caring, safe, Christ-centered learning environment that enables partnership with parents to educate and nurture the whole child, spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially, to become balanced, respectful, responsible citizens and life-long learners in society.

At CCA, we aim to:

  1. Provide learning experiences that will be positive and challenging

  2. Share with each student the knowledge and appreciation of Biblical principles

  3. Model and nurture character building based on Biblical principles such as responsibility, self discipline, respect and care for others

Our Commitment

Academic Excellence

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it
— Proverbs 22:6

CCA recognizes that each child is made in the image of God and has the ability and potential to learn and be successful to the fullest extent of their capacity, given the appropriate environment, opportunities, and encouragement.

At CCA, students will have Christ-centered learning experiences that are meaningful, challenging, relevant and positive. We strive to promote the development of children to their full potential in all areas of learning, in accordance with BC Education Plan core and curricular competencies

Biblical Principles

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
— 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Through the integration of Biblical principles into the daily curriculum, we want to help children grow in their knowledge and appreciation of Biblical principles and values. We also have a Biblical approach to leadership and learning. Students are encouraged to apply these Biblical principles through community building and helping people globally and locally.

Character Building

Command and teach these things. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
— 1 Timothy 4:11-12

At CCA, we believe students can be an example to those around them by building up their character and values in Biblical truths. Students learn to treat one another with respect. They have opportunities to apply these values not just through the day to day interactions with other students and staff, but also through different extra-curricular activities. As students grow in their elementary years, we want to help them build a strong foundation of these biblical values.
